I have two of these chicks that are supposed to be Gold Neck D'uccles. I've never seen any of these feather out, and I was wondering if their color was right.

Also, can you tell if partridge colored birds are hens by their feathers at this age? This chick has a bright comb, but the feathers look like a partridge hen to me. I have 3 little blue chicks the same age that are definately roos. They have not feathered out nearly as much as this one.

Here is another partridge. This one's comb is smaller and her feathers are exactly like the other one's.

I appreciate any help.

Never heard of a gold neck D'Uccle.

But your chickie looks a lot like my little mutt - who happened to be a cross with a Mille Fleur D'Uccle.

I think they'll feather out much better as they go, so don't fret just yet. Let them molt.

Looks like a pullet to me with your partridge cochin. Roosters will have more red/black instead of the penciling. Congrats!

That appears to be a Golden Neck but it's still in juvenile plumage. It won't show it's finished colour for awhile yet.
Partridge at that age all look alike. Again it's juvenile plumage & you'll have to wait. Comb size can be an early indicator but it's not absolutely foolproof.
