Hi everyone, could anyone out there tell me if they ever had a dark brahma male mate with rhode island red or barred rock females?! And, if so, where they good looking and hardy offspring? I guess u can guess this is what i own but have not bred yet! thanks!

I have a light brahma that has crossed with RIR and Barred Rocks, so close... he's a BIG boy!

The RIR cross looks just like the light brahma, only with a slight tint of pink to the white feathers, and they're shaping up to be big girls. I'm happy with that cross... very pretty. The LBxBR is not very aesthetically pleasing. I don't know if that helps or not, as I don't have the dark brahmas, but I can imagine it would be similar.
