Is this a good price for chickens

Unfortuantely I had to sell 3 of my 10 1/2 wk old roo's today. They are minorca and RIR. We got $5.00 each for them. Is that a good price

Considering it is hard to get rid of roo's sometimes, I would say that is a good price. They will probably use them as breeders at that price. I wouldn't pay $5 for a 3 month old roo if I was planning to eat him. You can buy them cheaper at the grocery store.

The menonites bought them. It is where we buy our feed. They will resell them. Thanks for the info. I did not want to get rid of them. But I have to many roo's I have 6 more that I need to get rid of. My DH made me do it.

But I refused to go with him and sell them. I even made him get them out of their pen. I was joking and told my neighbor I was going to hide the rest and make them a bachelor pad.

But I already have 3 others. So these need to go.
