Is this a gosling?

Canada geese are colored like this as babies..... I once raised one that some kid had stolen from a nest at the lake. But, everyone else says duck, so IDK.

Can anyone tell me if this is a duckling or a gosling? We rescued sereval eggs and have hatched 4 of them so far. 3 of them are definitely ducks, but this guys had a much bigger egg then the others and he is growing at much quicker than the others. He is three times the size of the others that hatched the same day. They are now 2 weeks old. (We’ve kept chickens before but never ducks so we are learning as we go.)View attachment 1773339View attachment 1773340

How do you explain the enormous size, then?

How do you explain that it looks absolutely nothing like a gosling?

I raise swedish and their size difference is sometimes huge. It would definitely be the case if it is a mix. They might not all be there same mix or one breed might have more influence in some ducklings.

It's a duckling, for sure. Goslings have an entirely different beak structure.
