Okay, but really... can you point out what male attributes yall are seeing?? That way I'll know what to look for in the future. Is it just his voice? What if he's just a late bloomer. Or what if he has a deformed quaker... or maybe shes trans? Too far?..lol I'm just grasping at straws here...

The rasping voice is the surest way to identify a drake. Sometimes you'll have a duck that you swear quacks when they're a little duckling, but down the road that'll turn to a wa-wa noise instead. Rarely the other way around - mistaking a hen for a drake.

General size, size of feet, color of beak, etc. can also be indicators but not as sure. You can have large hens & small drakes.
