Is this a leghorn?

There is no chance it is a rooster. By this age they would have had pointed saddle and hackle feathers and male sickles. I wonder if she has worms. Hens will stop laying and their combs will turn paler if they have enough of them. Mites or lice can also cause laying problems if infested.

PrettySpeckleds said that she had not laid an egg for her previous owner either... Could she have had worms/mites for that long? To me it seems extremely unlikely as the hen would have died if she had worms/lice/mites for 2 years...

It's definitely a white Leghorn hen. She may be much older than represented, or she may simply have a defect in her reproductive system. Just like some human women can't reproduce, it's going to happen from time to time in chickens also.

Well, I guess that we have established that the chicken is a hen lol (thought it was worth a shot). Donrae makes a good point; maybe she just has a defect in her reproductive system. She is a pretty hen tho... Lol
