Is this a mottled Houdan? And can anyone advise me if it is male or female?

How many toes? Mottled Houdans should have five toes. I haven't looked at a lot of these so I'm a poor judge of gender, but for the most part, crested chickens with nicely rounded globe-shaped crests are females.

She looks like my girl Dorothy, a beautiful Mottled Houdan. I'd say hen - boys have really spikey hairdos.

Thanks! I was thinking it was a girl as I read that their topknot feathers were nicely rounded.
