I have a Pekin duck that lays almost daily, earlier this week she stop for 3 days, yesterday I got 2 eggs, and today I found 4 eggs in the morning!!!

I only have 2 ducks and the other one is a male, so the eggs are from her.

I guess she was making up for lost time.

You sure she's not just moving her eggs around? They do that. . .

I've never heard of any domestic fowl laying more than 1 egg a day.

Yeah..shes not laying that many eggs a day..sorry.

You do not have to believe it but it happened. There is one male and one female duck, they are in an enclosed area, the eggs are in an old draw and it is located at the highest point in the coop. There is no where to hide any eggs even if there is a place to hide eggs you have to have hands to pickup an egg and move them a foot higher into the draw, and the eggs are clean, if they have been anywhere else they would be dirty.

The only other explanation would be someone put some duck eggs in there at night, but the ducks would make nosies if someone is near and I have flood lights with motion sensors that would turn on.

If she took off earlier in the week it is possible that she could Have hidden them under the nesting material and then uncovered them before you arrived. My duck keep hiding the golf balls. Silly ducks.

I think you are right, I had to dig for the eggs these last few day, and I thought I have a super duck, but I guess 1 a day every day is good.

I have one hen that every once in a while will lay 2 eggs a day. One will be normal (the early morning egg and then the one later in the day will have a soft shell. I know for a fact that she did it because I had her secluded once in a carrier when she had a cut and it was healing and she did it. I had suspected it in the past but once I had her in a carrier I was able to see she did it for sure lol.

its probably like my ducks.... hiding their eggs all the time! though it is a bonus when i find a stash of em...
