Is this a roo? EE sexing help

So...if this IS a rooster.....

What do I do?

I have 24 EE Hens (I hope) that I intend to lay eggs.

Will this roo be able to live with them? Will the eggs become fertilized with a roo around?

Thanks!

Sure you can keep him and he'll take great care of your hens for ya!

If he is indeed a boy then you'll have fertile eggs! All this means is that if you choose to hatch chicks at some point you can! We have a rooster with our flock of hens and he does a GREAT job keeping all the girls safe! He's such a gentleman he's always finding food for them and calling them over to eat it! Even when I take treats out for them he seldom eats any for himself...his first instinct is to call the girls over! He's just as sweet and caring for the chicks that the hens hatch out....GREAT Daddy Roo! It's precious to watch him be so nuturing to the chicks! Just b/c you have a roo around doesn't mean that all of your eggs will be fertile. Some will be....some won't be. We collect eggs daily around here so fertile or not fertile is no big deal. Last year when I first got started with chickens this "fertile issue" really bothered me until I started getting eggs and understanding more about it. Even if eggs are fertile it would take one of your hens going "broody"aka:wanting to become a Mama and sit on the nest for 21 days! With this breed that you have "broodiness" is very rare. What I'm trying to say is...."It's all good....no worries"!

SO BEAUTIFUL! I think the EE's are such a beautiful chicken. I posted a picture of my Roo, "Dicky Bird" a page or two back. He looks very similar to yours :) When the sun hits him, he is just stunning...

Roo. Please keep him, he'll be gorgeous. He'll be so good for your flock.

Fertilized eggs won't matter one whit unless you want to hatch some. There's no difference in taste, looks (there's a very very subtle sign many people never notice even if they're looking for it), or nutrition. No chance of chick development unless the eggs are incubated. They can't just form embryos without incubation.

And what luck, only ONE roo out of 25! Wow. Wish *I* had your luck!!
