It looks more like Blue Langshan than a Marans to me, but it is a cockerel for sure.

I am starting to lean to that...but I didn't know those were also in Blue I thought just Croad

Definitely a cockerel! I’m not really seeing the Birchen Maran though...my guess would either be a brama or a Cochin!
