Is this a roo?

This was sold as a BO pullet, but I'm not so sure. Does it look like a little roo to you?

How old is it? Is it growing spurs?

Yes, it does look a little roo-ish. But without know its age, I really couldn't say for sure.

By the way, I have several jeans with spurs, so don't get caught using that as a method to sex chickens. Especially young ones.

She's maybe 4 weeks old. I don't think it has spurs, I compared her to the others and didn't see any difference in their feet or legs. She just seems diferent than our others.

This was supposed to be a BO, too, but her coloring is different. Cream colored feathers on the wings and more reddish feathers on the chest. I have no idea what she is.

In the first pic the legs do look pretty thick, but in the second they're not. Can't really tell yet, a few weeks will tell. Way too young for spurs, most all chicks have nubbins at this age.

Second chick isn't a buff orp, maybe a sex-link?

I have 6 four week old red sex link gals, and they look like that. My guess is that it's a pullet. Cant tell for sure though. Only time will tell.

Looks like a Production Red cockerel to me. Orpingtons have pink feet.
