I can't figure out how to put in a picture, but I will describe her/him. She/he is an Easter Egger who leads the others around. It has a golden head that turns into pointy gold feathers with black in the middle at the base of It's neck. The rest of It's body is black with gold tinges. The tail feathers are black with brown rims. There is one slightly down sloping tail feather. It's comb is looks like a small strawberry. Can you show me some pictures of EE roos and can I have your opinion on this chicken. Her/his name is Chilli the Spicy.

Hi - and welcome to BYC. It really will be better to use a picture - so perhaps we can coach you through that process rather than trying to guess if we are picturing the same bird you are describing --- do you have the photos on your own computer or have they already been uploaded to an online photo host site?

From your description, I'm leaning towards your bird being a pullet. Are any of the neck feathers pointy?

Me too. Be sure you look at the actual feather itself. The coloring on the pullet's feathers often create an optical illusion they're pointed when the feather itself is nice and round. But agree a pic would be best, including how old she is.

In the "box" where you are typing a post - look up and you'll see a series of icons to do different things (size, A, B, I, U, etc -- see them?). In the fifth box over there is a little box that looks like mountains with a sun over them - see that? Click that icon and a box will pop up to allow you to post the picture. If the picture is on your computer in a file, click "upload files" - select the picture and click "submit". If the picture is on a photo hosting site (ie photobucket, etc) copy and past the "URL" for the picture into the bar and then click "Use URL"
