His under chin skin started reddening before the others and is slightly bigger.

If it were mine (personally) and I were guessing @ that age I would guess pullet, just looking at that first picture the stance and the wing placement (and the dull appearance in the color) but that's just me....if it were mine. But that's based on front appearance. What does an aerial of the back, side, and rear tail area look like?

If it's a cockerel you'll notice (when it starts to get them) smaller thinner feathers coming in around the neck (hackle feathers, those are the ones they fan out when they want to warn another rooster or predator) and thinner pointed feathers around on the lower back at the head of the tail (saddle) and both of these areas mentioned, the feathers will usually have more sheen to them and be prettier colors. That's what I mean by dull appearance in color, the roosters get all the sheen for the most part. Send more pics. I think that's one of the things BYC members like to do most... guess the gender!😂 cause there is a 50% chance their right (or 50% wrong).

Another thing (and females can and will sometimes do it, too) do you ever notice it fighting (where it puffs itself and chest bumps the other chickens you have) roosters will often exhibit this behavior as young chicks, too. Not all will (and like I said hens may too) but most will.

That just started doing that. The only thingy different this one does, is meet me first along with the one barred rock baby I bought when I come in anytime. I guess I’ll just have to wait for a cock-a-doodle-do lol
