Is this a rooster? Or what is this weird noise?

I love my little cochin "chick" she's so sweet and cuddly and is always happy to see me but she just started making this weird noise. Is she crowing? Is she a rooster? Or does she just have a weird voice?

Thanks. I live in the city and can't have roosters...I'm really hoping she's not a boy.

Oh that is just to cute, he is showing how big he is, lol. Yup that's a tiny crowing sound!

I'm no expert but: how old is she? can we get pictures of her close-up?
It sounds like cute tiny... rooster crow but again I'm no expert.

While it is adorable, and he's clearly a tough tough 7 week old ball of fluff, I was hoping that wasn't a crow...Is there anyway to keep a rooster from crowing? Neuter him or something?

I don't think caponizing him will make him stop crowing. I believe you either have to accept it or have him move on!

My little frizzle cochin just started crowing at 5 weeks. It sounds just like your little guy! I am in the same boat as you...no roos allowed. A friend of mine just told me about a rooster collar. It's supposed to help reduse crowing. I'm not sure where you would find one, but it's worth looking into. Good luck!
