Is this a rooster

Hi guys,
I got this chicken as a chick in September so it’s roughly 3 months old. My dad visited yesterday and seems to think it’s a roster as it is quite big. The last few days I noticed it making noises but I wouldn’t say crowing.. any help would be appreciated

I was hoping not as my daughter is very attached to him and we can’t keep cockerels/ roosters in my area.. I will have to rehome him
