Hey all. I’m 95% sure this is a Rhode Island (got it out of straight run bantams) just not sure what size. I also am trying to figure out it’s gender. Also, it’s waaaaay behind in development compared to the other breeds I got same day (Speckled Sussex and bantams). It’s also behind compared to my newer hens I got a week later (Golden sex-link and sapphire sex-link). Any insight?

Also, I have had this chick for over a month. Got it from tractor supply. I’m estimating it’s age around 5 weeks.

Great. That means I need to find him a new home. We decided to go with full sized dual purpose chickens (Sussex, Wyandotte, rir).

If it was in the bantam bin and significantly smaller than other chicks its age it's very likely a bantam.
