I was playing with my chicks today and saw a comb beginning, is this a sign I have a rooster?

No. All chicks are hatched with combs about that size.
New photos at 5+ weeks and we might be able to tell the gender.

I agree, you can’t really tell until 5 or more weeks. Once in a while (very rarely) you can tell at 4 weeks, but that’s the earliest you can ever tell.

All chickens have combs. It doesn’t look male.
