I have 2 black austalorps. They are about 9 or 10 weeks old. One still peeps like a baby but the other seems to be making alot of goose type sounds.
It is not a cock a doodle do but sort of a honking sound. They both look the same but the one with the honking sound has thicker legs. The feathers on the
legs and the body are the same.

At 9 to 10 weeks is when the baby chirp starts to change to the adult cluck. I think that is all your hearing. A rooster would have a substantially larger comb and waddle than the other pullet by now.
