Is this a sign of Coccidiosis?

Warm wet/muddy soil are a breeding ground for Coccidiosis to thrive in.(I have chicks that catch it from dry soil, so it doesn't always have to be wet)


The Deep Litter method doesn't need a routine cleaning. It decomposes on it's own, & all you have to do is add a new layer after awhile.


Corid is the best way to treat it. The other drugs, I don't know much about.

Oh my gosh, I had no idea. I’ve been trying to keep them cool with high 90’s & triple digits & seem to have done more harm than help. I’ll have to find another way to keep them cool. What is the best way to treat them with the Corid?

I use it their water. @casportpony, can give you the exact dosage. I stink at dosage.

I would treat with Corid.
Liquid Corid dose is 2tsp per gallon of water given for 5-7 days.
If your run area is mostly sand, then I wouldn't add bedding. Sand should drain pretty well.
