Is this a threat???

I found a large-ish yellow bird shredded next to the chicken's fence. Is this a threat from a wild animal or cat? We also have dark eyed junkos living in our yard, so could it be a threat for them? (We don't have a cat)

Just in case it had disease, I composted it in a compostable dog bag, and did not touch it with my hands. (Not how it died, obviously)
