Is this a weed in my garden bed????

Hey everyone! I am prepping my veggie beds for the season and have this plant or weed growing in there. Can anyone confirm what it is?? It could be a weed but didn’t want to dig it up in case it’s something from last year re growing.
Thanks for any suggestions.

I can see a strawberry plant in first pix (upper left corner)
Your lush looking plant does look like a weed to me. I never seen anything such as that in gardens for food.
I have encountered a few different unusual weeds in my gardening, when I used store purchased garden soils. Those mixtures are a mix of composted plants and other soil ingredients, and some of the weed seeds did not compost, and rot away completely enough. I am referring to the entry price level garden soils. (what I usually purchase, since the $10 per bag premium stuff would send me to the poor-house)
This spring when everything started growing, I noticed a new weed, not seen before. DD has an APP on her phone, that will search out the name of it if pix is taken. She found it to be the one pictured below.

It is not the same as your plant, but my point is this. To one person it is undesirable weed, while to another it is an eatable plant.
I have no desire for this plant, so we pulled all those we could find. It is quite prolific BTW.

I also do not use herbicides, or other pesticides on my lawn , or garden. Have small children that share lawn with my pet chickens, and other animals. (cats, dogs, squirrels) I do pull up dandelions in garden area, and as much of the lawn area as possible. My chickens do snack on dandelions when foraging in lawn.
When I see my DD, I will ask her to download the App onto my phone, so I could do the ID myself. I can then also advise you what the name of app is.

It looks like feverfew. Yes, there are several apps, as you can imagine. I have the PlantNet app, it definitely helps. You can take a new picture or use one from your saved photos. I have never tried the others, so I cannot advise which works best. Good luck

Thank you so much Caveman!!!’ Wonderful info! I used Miracle grown raised bed soil bags in there with some organic Pete moss. I wasn’t happy with the bags this last year as I had some broken glass, Xmas lights, and almost more like mulch. Very disappointed compared to previous years. I have never used pesticide or lawn treatments in the back yard as we have 2 small children , a dog and chickens also.
Anywho... thanks for the insight on the weed or plant seeds left in soil, I’m sure it’s a super growing weed but I wanted to check before I pulled it. I had already pulled all the weeds with the purple flowers out.
yes, that is one of my daughters strawberry plants that came back the other bed has 4’ of the plant that spread and it’s so healthy.

It could be feaverfew, you could leave it alone and wait for it to flower. If it is, I would keep it move it to a spot where it has a lot of space.

Thank you. I usually do also. It reminded me of a tomato plant at first when it was little... then I just became curious. Since I do crop rotation every year between the beds, I couldn’t remember .

Thanks for the pics! I have some of that growing in my raised beds as well, I have avoided giving it to the birds because I didn’t know if it was safe before, I assume they’ve encountered it in grass clipping though.

to much of it at once may not be good, it used medicinally for headaches
