she was dumped at a lake near my sister’s house along with a drake, which we are still working on catching. She’s got a horrendously loud honk compared to my muscovies. I can’t get more good photos just yet because they’ve just had watermelon and their ponds are newly filled, so they are all hyper at the moment.

Thanks everyone. She’s a quirky little thing. She’s settling in well here. She’s made an odd group of friends: a bantam rooster, our Muscovy patriarch, and a teenage drake Muscovy who has big stupid doofus syndrome. Whenever she gets in a yelling match with a ramdom duck or chicken, one of these boys will rush to her defence. Especially the bantam rooster... it’s so bizarre and funny and adorable watching him. He’s like a chihuahua taking on a Great Dane when he gets all protective.

Our little drake friend at the lake is doing pretty poorly, I’m sad to say. He was attacked on his neck and has lost feathers. It looks very sore and swollen and he’s having trouble eating. We take him food every day and he is getting weaker, but I think he may pass away from his injuries before we can actually catch him.

So happy you were able to get her. Sounds like the funny farm for sure. lol. So very sad for the drake it’s just disgusting peoples mindset that they can dump any animal and think it can make it in the wild. Do you have a large net you might be able to catch him with something like that and with vet care get him back to health. Bless you for caring:hugs @CrystaBub has done some rescuing maybe she has advise?
