Is this a White Plymouth Rock if so, hen or rooster? Please help!

We had thought it was a Leghorn and a hen until it started getting a bit aggressive. Bit me and drew blood then did the same to my husband. Used to be the most friendly chicken we had! My research led me to believe that it is a White Plymouth Rock and is a rooster. Any input is very appreciated!!

Thank you! I was afraid of that. Do you think the fact that he has bit both me and my husband says he'll be mean? He's only 13wks right now.

depends why he bit you

mine bite sometimes when they are hungry and I'm filling the feeder

that's expected of them

it don't make them aggressive

Oh that makes sense! Both times where when we were grabbing the feeder to fill it up. He grabbed onto my whole thumb and would not let it go!

Well, he may have some White Rock in him, but he's a mix of some kind. Pegging his individual mentality and temperament is hard to do. Keep an eye on him. If he grows worst in human aggressiveness, he'd be floating with some dumpling around here. Just sayin'.

Why do you say he's a mix of some kind, Fred's Hens?

He's a defo rooster. Not sure of the breed, considering Fred's Hens has a different opinion.

Fred, why do you think he's a mix rather than a WPR? Any characteristics in particular?

Sadly I think that's what we will do if he continues with the aggression. We have three small children and I don't want him hurting them.
