Is this abusive mating? Or some other issue?

I did not notice it his yesterday morning when i let the ducks out, i did notice it last night but it was dark so hard to see for sure, been working 12-14 hour days so I really haven’t been nearly as attentive as I should be, my drake was penned up by himself during the day but has been with the girls at night, historically he has been ok at night, after dark they seem to settle down(based on camera spying) point is i wasn’t watching her closely so I may have missed this for a day or so.
she’s usually quite gorgeous, looks pretty mangy now. Shes the one that had been laying shell-less eggs, despite weeks of liquid calcium dosing. Otherwise seems healthy.
Yup, rough mating. I had to permanently put my drakes in a bachelor coop bc one of my girls ended up like that plus an open wound and almost lost an eye. Its just ducks. Unfortunately!

I kept all 4 of my boys separate all summer and the grass that was in their run grew grea,t stayed nice, green, and healthy because they were all 4 busy pacing the fence line.

A week ago I decided to try putting the boys together again with their hatch mates. The 2 young boys went with the 5 young girls and the older 2 boys went in with their 8 girls. It is working out great and everyone is happy.

Yesterday, instead of just leaving the happy ducks alone the way they were, I thought I'd try putting all 17 together. That lasted about 10 minutes. It was complete raping chaos. They all got put back the way they were and everyone is happy again.
