I think they are super weird looking, but in a neat way...Like I want some just so people see them and are like whoa! what is that one?!. Lol. But then I really like the peaceful calm serenity that watching my chickens that look like chickens gives me, and I worry that such an odd looking chicken would mess that up. Then again it might be fine. I'm sure I'll get some sometime. I haven't yet though. I was going to get a couple with my may order from cackle, but when I went back to shave off everything I couldn't live without I had to let them go. Although I should have also gotten fewer EE pullets...but who knew that a local guy would be selling EE pullets? Oh well. I'll have lots of EEs I guess. Which I am alright with. They lay eggs pretty well and get large enough to eat, and that is about all I ask of a chicken...either lay a lot of eggs, or be big enough to be worth the trouble of processing you. I bet my small chickens feel very safe up there in the coop...Until everyone gets their own small roasted chicken for dinner night...Just kidding. Not enough meat on a small chicken to be worth the trouble. I have a small roo that needs to go, and I keep putting it off. There's not going to be anything to him...but he is just a plain looking barnyard mixed rooster. The only thing unique about him is his comb...It's weird. And not like good weird...it's like a single comb if they had 30 points and had curves in them...I have no idea what kind of comb it actually is, but it sticks off like a single comb, and it is long enough to be a single comb, but it has a whole lot of little points, and it looks like the comb is not attached right. Like only the front part of it is stationary, and all the rest is just sort of flopping around up there... He's white and looks like he's been dusted with cinnamon across his back/shoulder area..not his hackle, it's white, but right across his back and wings he's sprinkled with a light reddish brown. I described it sounding really pretty, but he's plain except for the weird comb. I like him, but we have too many roosters and I want no more small chickens, so no reason to keep a small rooster.
