Is this an Easter Egger Rooster?

I got him free on craigslist. He was getting beat up by the person's other (huge) rooster. She said he was her free exotic chick from a Murray McMurray order.

She thought he was an araucana. I'm sure he is probably an Easter Egger. He doesn't resemble anything I am looking at in the Murray McMurray catalog.....

What do you think? He has ear tufts, no beard and he sure is not rump-less.








If I cross him with my brown egg layers will I get olive eggers do you think?

Murray McMurray sells EE's as Ameraucana/Araucana, trouble is you don't know what color gene he carries, only way to find out is to breed him hatch a few eggs and wait until they lay to find out....they could be greenish, pinkish, even kind of creamy....

Yes I think he is an EE, they can be beard/muffless. And as far as egg color goes I agree with Firekin1, it's up to his genetics. The only way you will know for sure is to try to experiment, and who doesn't love to see super fluffy EE chicks running around?! Lol

Agree, Easter egger. fyi those aren't tufts on his ears, it's jut the normal feathering over the upper part of the earlobes. Tufts are long wing-looking feathers shooting off the sides of the face.
