Is this an injury to comb or disease

Dougie has a blackened/grayish area on his comb. Ihave noticed several chickens with smalls grayish specs on their combs as well. On one of the barred rocks, it kinda flaked off and looked like the tiniest tip of her comb was gone.

usually they are from being pecked by another bird. It will fall off I think. won't do any harm however. Frostbite would have nipped all the tips.

Will the missing part grow back?
