Is this baby a Muscovy?

He's about 6 weeks old now but still all brown. At what age do they start looking like Muscovy's? I'm starting to wonder if the Mama mated with a regular brown duck. Forgive the pic quality, I snapped it through my screen door as to not frighten him while taking the pic.

He's the sole survivor of the whole clutch of 12 and I think he'll make it to adulthood. He's feisty and lunges at those nasty White Ibis's when they come near him.

I probably won't be able to tell weather or not it's a Muscovy until it grows in caruncles (if it's a Muscovy).
I honestly can't remember when their caruncles start becoming visible, though. It's gotta be somewhere around a few months old I think.

I checked through my Muscovy photos, and they do not develop until three months.

Yep, that's a Muscovy, they might as well be the State Bird of Florida, many live in my neighborhood and I once "helped" one hatch and returned it to it's Moma.

It's been a few years since i've seen ducklings make it to adulthood and I can't remember either when they start looking like Muscovy's. Each morning I look out expecting to see signs of caruncles on him, but nothing. If it's a few months then he's got a ways to go, but he's getting bigger each day. Thanks.

A clearer photo would help. I think it is a hybrid.
