Is this "bad" rooster behavior?

Will a roo be more friendly to people if we raise him from a chick? Or do you just get what you get?

No, you get what you get - But I still maintain that circumstances aid in roo behavior - not a scientific fact, but my own experience.

I will add that some have argued that meanness can be bred out of the chicken line - but in our case, we had a nice rooster turn defender when given his own hens, and a defender rooster turn nice - once the hens were removed.
