Is this bantam a roo?

Really? I looked them up but I can't find any that look like him. Granted, most of the pictures I could find were of adult roosters. I found one hen that looked a bit like him, and one pair of OEG bantams that I could imagine he *might* look like grown up. However, I don't see it?!?

His legs don't appear to be longer than my other breeds either, and I thought OEG's had long legs? Is that only in the standard?

Yes, I'm at that site now. It's a bit tough to navigate but I found the page about OEGB with all the links to other sites. Unfortunately, a bunch of sites are expired.

It seems these are not good "beginner" birds. That sounds a bit intimidating. He is a sweetheart, but then again, he's three weeks old

Does he need separate housing from my hens? If all my pullets are actually pullets, I have 10, and depending on the other two bantams I may have 12. If one of the other bantams is a rooster, I assume I have an issue on my hands? I would rather not rehome or cull unless ABSOLUTELY necessary

Try
this site instead. The chick at the bottom looks like yours, but the pic is a bit dark. I've heard nothing about OEGB's being hard to raise, and many, many people have them. The hens are GREAT broodies, and the little roos can be quite sweet. All that being said, I've never had any myself. But a lot of people on here have them and love them.

Do a search on here for them, and you'll find a LOT of info. Good luck!

Excellent. Thank you guys so much.

Now I just need to figure out the others two bantams I have, and possibly one of my mystery pullets.
