Is this blackhead or is he supposed to look like this?

I'm not sure if you can see from these pics. Obviously he's ranging with all my other poultry. Basically his face and such are getting a bluish tint. Is that blackhead? If it is what do I do about it? I've had my peacocks and guineas with them this whole time and haven't had issues with them.

Your turkey appears to be absolutely normal to me.

After you said that I decided to google what a normal giant white turkey looks like and.......you're right. I'm an idiot!

Nah, you just didn't know. I have a Midget White tom and I didn't know male turkeys have "beards" of bristly stuff growing from their chests, so when he was young, I tried to pull what I thought was a burr stuck in his feathers (even though I have never seen a burr stuck in feathers as I don't think it's possible!). Thank goodness I only tugged....and then checked on BYC!

I also did not know turkeys change the color of their skin! Sarge would be all blue and then he would be white when I looked at him again. And then all red! I have since spent some time observing the changes as they occur, and I think it is simply amazing.

Some of my bourbons have a bluish tint to their face and they are ok.

Just keep an eye on their poop. I need to get Kathy (casportpony) over here so that she can link you to pics of her bird's poop.

ETA: Ok, I found Kathy's poop pics.

Don't feel bad, I thought the same thing until I actually had one get sick, it's head never changed color.
