Hello! My call duck has been limping for a few days. I checked his feet and they look a little rough? I compared it to a female I have and hers has some rough spots but his are so intense it’s concerning. Is this bumble foot? Or is there another issue I could check for to see why he might be limping? I was thinking it could also be from the loss of his back nail maybe? Please give me any advice! Thank you.

Perhaps not per se , but looks irritated enough that I would treat by soaking in warm Epson salt water once or twice a day, then slather on some non-pain relief antibiotic ointment OR Epsom poultice and wrap with gauze and vet wrap. Keep him out of the pool/mud/water for a week or so. See if that clears it up.
What kind of flooring/ bedding /terrain is he walking on?
Any coop freshening products used? Do the other ducks have similar issues?

It’s Footpad dermatitis. It’s caused by ammonia scalding or from being on damp bacteria ridden ground for too long without getting a chance to fully dry off, not uncommon in wetter climates.

Footpad dermatitis can turn into bumblefoot if the right bacteria were to get into one of the cracks caused by the inflammation and overdevelopment of keratin but for now I don’t see anything that stands out as bumblefoot.

You can try the epsom salt bath or you can apply hydrogen peroxide to the feet twice a day for a week to two weeks. Either way make sure that the ducks can dry their feet completely off after each treatment.
I also advise cleaning their pen out and replacing their bedding or moving them to a new enclosure to let the ground rest in the original area.
