I dont know if my baby Blackie has bumble foot or is something else wrong with her foot. She started limping about a week ago, now she isnt really walking much at all she can't roost. She stays on the coop floor and walks very little, just to get food or water. Her foot is very scaly like it has very dry scales on it and it had crusty mud on her toes.I soaked her foot in very warm water with epsom salt and then used hydrogen peroxide on it and then rinsed.I noticed she has a bump on the inside of one of her toes in the middle of her toe that is red and green...what is wrong with her please help...I love my girl and I don' t want anything to happen to her..Thanks...I tried to upload pics but I can' get them to upload

Hi, are the pics before or after washing her feet? A lot of it looks like crud balls but also scaly leg mites. The lumps I am unsure of at the moment. The red and green thing you mentioned, really need to see it.

It's easier to load pics from PC. Click on the pic icon in your post, go to upload pics, find them in your files, hold the control button, select pics, click open, then upload, release control button. you should see the loading bar in the pic window and when it is done, they should appear in your post.

ETA: I forgot, the pic window should give you a size choice, choose medium, we can enlarge the photos ourselves.

The pics are after her foot was soaked. To dark out now to take more pics I'm trying to upload more of pics from earlier today.

How do I treat it...is it contagious, because the rest of my chickens are fine.

My hens have never had mites but you should Google it for Medication, but some good old DE should help to.

Thanks..I use DE all the time...never had this problem before..and my other chickens are fine.

I'm really starting to freak out were getting 6 chicks next week and I need to make sure the baby chicks will be ok.
