Is this bumblefoot, did I do the right thing and is it healing?

We found our 1 year old Rhode Island red stuck behind the shed...we freed her and she wasn't walking and seemed to be unable to move her right leg. Upon inspection of her foot pad it had a black scab and the toes are a little swollen, but it didn't look like the classic bumblefoot I usually see in pics. The scales on one of her toes were also red and bruised looking, but I assumed that it was because she was lying on this leg in a weird way.

I soaked the foot in Epsom salts, pulled off the scab and cleaned out the wound. I cut away the tissue but there wasn't any pus or hard kernel. Squeezed it.. no pus, just a little blood. No stringy stuff. It just seemed like an cut with a dirty scab, but would like your opinion. I applied triple antibiotic, gauze vet wrap and have been reapplying and changing the dressing every 2 days. After 5 days the scab is straw colored and hard with a dark spot. I can't tell if it's getting better or not. She is starting to move the foot and leg a little more and can put weight on it but she still isn't walking voluntarily. Photos below are in order: First 3 photos = Day 1 of surgery; 4th photo = Day 3 of recovery; 5th photo = Day 4 of recovery comparing two feet; 6-7th = Day 5 f recovery.

What do you think - stick with it? How long should it take to heal? Is it bumbleboot or just a foot injury?

Thanks, Fiona!
