Hi, this looks like bumblefoot. Can someone confirm? Does PRID need to be applied daily along with an Epsom salt bath to draw the infection to the surface? Thanks.

It looks like it. What worked for me: soak in water with iodine, spray vetricyn or other type of antibiotic spray, put bag balm and antibiotic cream, place a piece of guaze, and wrap with vet wrap. Wrap the vet wrap like in a v shape through the toe area to help keep in place, but don't make it too tight.
Repeat every 3-4 days.

Sometimes the wrapping will fall off due to dirt and or they pick it off. I just soak again. I used a bucket with a lid and cut a hole through the lid so that they could soak in the bucket for about 10 min. After soaking, gently scrape at the scab with a gloved hand. I did not do anything super invasive. But, once that plug comes out, there will be a hole.

Pack the hole with antibiotic cream, place a piece of gauze over it, and wrap again. Check every so often - and once you see the skin healing and the hole closing - the chicken is good. I didn't do it until the hole completely closed, but the skin was nice and healed. It took care of itself after that.

You don't have be invasive (like cutting and what not) as it will heal and be less traumatic for the chicken.
