Obviously male, yes. The red color on his belly is not present in females. I'm guessing he's cinnamon red breasted, but I'm not an expert when it comes to colors.
He's not normal, that much I can tell, as I have those myself. They have an obvious pattern to the back feathers and two parallel stripes, one on each side of the spine. And a darker brown base color to the feathers on the back. Also, the red color is more limited to the vent area and doesn't go up as far on the sides and breast. And of course they have more of the black and white pattern in the face/chin area..
