Is this chick a frizzle?

Hi all -

Here is a 3 week old bantam cochin chick (silver laced, I think) whose feathers are growing in funny - I'm wondering if its a frizzle? I've never had a frizzled chick, so all I know is what I see in pics...

This isn't the best shot (he moves SO fast!), so I can try again if its too hard to tell here?

Thanks guys! OMG - I'm so excited!! My FIRST frizzle...

Here's the kicker tho: the parents weren't frizzled, and to the breeder's knowledge, there have been no other frizzles from that line. How does this happen???

Genes mutate, so it could just be a mutation. I saw a silkie-feathered screech owl one time....the wierdest thing!

Just recently bought a couple of frizzles from HBueler was looking like that just a few days ago. Now it is really frizzling. Congrats!
