This girl hatched 5 weeks ago (two weeks old in picture), The egg from which she hatched came from a RIR, but she looks like a welsummer?
She's noticeably different to all her sisters yet they all came from the same batch.... Any Ideas?

That is what I call a "wild" gene pattern. Some lesser strains of Rhode Island Reds do indeed throw chicks in that pattern.
I see you are in the UK. The lines of Reds in the UK are somewhat limited, both in quality and in number. You'll have to wait and see how these chicks turn out.

Do you have pictures of the parent stock?

Wow im in northern Ireland an have the same problem this chick was supposed to be buff sussex x light sussex... BUT LOOK

Hum.
Regarding the RIR - Wellsummer colored chicks:
Well the 2 lighter chicks is eWh locus. The chipmunk colored chick is e+ locus.
Interesting.

Slow reply guys I know, but she has grow up to be a big healthy Rhode Island Red Pullet

Her markings as a chick were so strange, although very pretty. There is nothing unique about her plumage now though, Just a plain RIR.

I say plain as if its a bad thing. I think RIR;s are beautiful and my favorite bird :)
