is this chick dead?

I picked an egg up gently earlier to candle and i felt and heard something that sounded like something was stuck and then when i picked it up it fell to the bottom of the egg. Do you thing its a dead chick?

PS sorry if what i have wrote doesn't make no sense couldn't think of the word to explain it.
