Is this chicken blind or is something else going on?

According to their website they are the real deal. Usually when they spell it correctly that is the case:

“The large fowl black Ameraucana chicken is the most popular American Poultry Association recognized variety. And also generally the most winning variety at poultry shows. They have what the judges are looking for and also what many poultry enthusiasts want in a backyard chicken.

Our seedstock for the large fowl black Ameraucana came from their creator, John W Blehm of Michigan, in 2014.”

Thank you. She definitely is not as vocal as everyone else. I’ll try to get a better video when she’s really acting off and test out her hearing. She doesn’t seem to know I’m reaching in to grab her until I touch her and she freaks out.
When you try to handle her test both sides, front and above her. She may have better vision in one eye or the other, if it is her eyes. Also snap your fingers on either side and see how/if she responds. Good luck

Here is a video from this evening. My dog kept jumping up so I didn’t take the time to get a great video but hopefully this helps😊

Thank you. I can get a picture of her eyes tomorrow. She does spin in circles. I thought she was clumsily chasing a bug but she was just spinning in circles. And twice she was far off in the yard at dusk nowhere near the coop and run. She doesn’t blink but I’m going to try the finger in front of her eye thing

How does she react when you move toward her while she’s on the ground? Her pupils look huge but that could be the lighting. She does seem like she is trying to follow the lighter colored chicken when it approaches her.

When I move toward her she usually does not move and goes crazy when I pick her up like I’m killing her. She ran into the feeder earlier. I feel like she’s listening for her flock more so than seeing them. She was way across the yard today when I got home underneath my banana tree nowhere near the others and yesterday she was up near the house hiding underneath a plant and everyone else was clear on the other side of the yard grazing. It’s like she keeps losing them. She does not chase bugs. She doesn’t even peck at the ground. I did see her eating out of the feeder earlier.

This reminds me of my blind hen. She will do better with a couple buddies (preferably lighter colored in case she can see at all) in a run where she can learn her way around and nothing moves or changes.
