Is this chicken male or female

I think this chicken is a male but I can not tell can you


and then can you tell what gender this one is I think it is a hen but I don't know

the Chicken next to the cat is the one we think is the hen but it could also be a rooster the Reason I ask this question about these two chickens is because they both crow but one of them laid two eggs can you help.

yes they are the same age, they are both 6 months old

The first is a rooster. The second I can't see very well in the picture. Looking roosterish...like juliechick asked...are there other chickens with them that could have laid? If not I would bet on the second being a hen.
