Is this Coccidiosis?

Hi,
I believe my chickens might have coccidiosis but they don't have all of the tell tale symptoms so I'm not sure. I have found out the the environment they're in, an often muddy and wet chicken run can make coccidiosis likely. In February and this month I had 2 sudden chicken deaths, they were otherwise healthy and had no external damage. They did however become sick looking and ill right before the deaths. The bird was fine in the morning and then sick at night, then dead the next morning. I read that coccidiosis can cause sudden deaths like these without them showing symptoms in the past. On top of these deaths my chickens will become lethargic and sick looking (puffy feathers, closed eyes, slow moving) randomly during the day, then seemingly get over it in an hour or so. They have also decreased in egg production and lay thin shelled wrinkly eggs (I give them free choice oyster shells and grit). They still usually have lot's of interest in food and water however (not when they're are sick looking for a few hours). I have also found orange droppings regularly (picture below), and read that these can also be a symptom. Is it safe to treat them for it even if they don't have it? Thank you for any help you can offer!

That looks like a foamy cecal dropping. If you could get some droppings examined by your vet, you could find out if they have coccidiosis. Or you could go ahead and get some Corid and treat for possible coccidiosis. Dosage is 2 tsp of the liquid, or 1.5 tsp of the powder in each gallon of water for 5-7 days. Then give a reduced amount for 5-7 more days. I also would think about worming them with SafeGuard or Valbazen. If you lose another, it is best to refrigerate the body, and send it to your state vet for a necropsy. Try to keep their environment as dry as possible. Here is a chart with Corid dosages:

Is this the Corid you were referring to?
Are foamy cecal droppings an indication of anything bad? I have called all the vets near me and no one will examine the droppings unfortunately. When putting the dosage in the water do you have to change out the water everyday and put in a new dosage or can you wait for them to drink all the water? What defines it as a severe or moderate outbreak? Do you recommend liquid or powder and can we still eat the eggs while they are being treated? I will look into worming them but is it safe to worm them even if they don't for sure have worms and can you still eat the eggs? Last question, I swear, even if I treat them if they come into contact with poop from when they "had" it, will they become infected again? Sorry for all the questions, I'm a bit over my head in this area. Thank you for your response!

You can eat the eggs while using Corid—there is no withdrawal. I prefer the liquid, since it will stay fresher for future use, and you can give the undiluted orally to a sick chicken who is not drinking. I always would use the severe outbreak or maximum dose. Change the water every day, and you can make smaller portions. If you worm them, you will need to toss the eggs for 14 days after treatment, although many do not necessarily do that. A small amount can be passed in the egg.
