I got two 10 week old pullets 2 days ago. Today, we noticed blood in the one of their stool. See picture.
Is this coccidiosis? I’m trying to find out quickly so I can start treatment. Could this be from the stress of changing environments?

Also, if I need to treat with Corid, can you still buy it in the store? I have a bottle of Corid from years ago, is it safe to use or should I get a new one if it’s available?

Thank you for any help.

You can get a new bottle or Corid from tractor supply, a local co-op, or Amazon. I prefer the liquid corid. There’s a possibility it’s intestinal shedding, but go ahead and treat with 2tsp a gallon

Thank you! That is what I did. I ended up getting the powder before I saw this. I'm hoping it's working because I don't think I saw any blood yesterday.
I was giving the wrong dose for the first two day. 1 tsp instead of 2 in a gallon, which is preventative not treatment. Should I go an extra 2 days?
Also, what kind of vitamins do I get to give them after treatment is done?

Personally I have never given vitamins I usually give a little scratch and mealworms but you can ask someone else if your wanting to

I know this is late but maybe someone else will stumble upon with same question. It says mild dose is 1 tsp per gallon but severe is 2 tsp per gallon for chickens. That’s what I found on Amazon.
