is this cochin pure or a mix?

Yeah, I know cochins have single combs, but I don't think this is in any way a purebred cochin. I thought it was crossed with brahma, but doesn't have the pea comb of a brahma. I am still just trying to figure out what it is.

If it helps, your chick looks a lot like mine. I know mine is pure Cochin. I have no clue what color he is, but I am now assuming black since someone said that's what yours was. This chick's parents would have been a splash colored roo and any colored hen (blue, black, splash, barred, etc).
