It's a good way to accidentally injure or even kill them (which someone on here posted that they did last year).

Also I couldn't imagine buying from a store where the employees thought this was proper handling of live animals.

I don’t believe it. I don’t think it’s possible to learn the gender from of a chick just by holding it by its head. It’s going to kick and squirm because it’s uncomfortable. I think it’s better to just get them professionally sexed from someone who knows what they’re doing. Videos like this are what cause people to accidentally kill their chicks.

Didn't even watch because I've heard about this (so called) method. And seen it other places and don't want to witness it again. It doesn't accomplish anything except seriously risking injuring or killing it.

Oops, I guess asking that was kind of land mine.

But that's why you have to ask people that really know I guess; to avoid stuff like that. I haven't done that holding them by their head, just to be clear.
