Is this duck dead?

Hi, I'm pretty sure the duck inside this egg is dead, considering it hasn't hatched and it's been a while now. But it doesn't smell at all, so I just wanted to check and make sure that it was dead before I threw it out, here are some pictures (I hope these work) . If you cant tell, when the light isn't shining on it, there are lighter circles scattered inside the egg everywhere, varying in sizes. Thanks!

Umm to be honest I'm really not sure. We weren't really expecting our ducks to manage to hatch any ducklings. But, actually, we have a duckling that hatched about 3 weeks ago, so I'm assuming the eggs were laid around the same time. I really don't think this egg is any good, but I just want to be sure.

Candling would be a good way to find out.

Yeah, well I had a picture but it didn't show up on the thread. But it doesn't really matter anyway, because my sister somehow managed to make the egg fall... it broke, and at that point it was pretty obvious it was dead. The smell was disgusting. I thought it was weird because there was literally no smell to it until the egg actually broke. But that's that, thanks for your help
