Is this duckling heathy?

My sons classroom tried hatch chicken eggs and this was the only guy who survived. And surprise! He isn't a chicken!!

Anywho, the teachers son has raised him till 2 days ago. He seems happy and active, his poop looks like poop, but his belly seems strange looking to me... I don't know about ducks tho! I'm a chickie farmer!!! Any ideas on it's health? And this might be a symptom, although it seems normal: he swims backward about 50% of the time.

I'm not even sure that's a duck - abdomen looks wrong if it is a duck.

To me it looks like a gosling; though my largest ducks are Campbells so it could be a larger breed I'm not familiar with.

Either way from what I've seen that belly doesn't look right and my ducklings don't do a lot of swimming backwards either..

Does it help to see his face? He could be anything-- I had thought that he looked more like a goose, but his bill looks like a duck to me.
He is about 3 wks to a month old.

Ok that's a very ducky face.
She's gorgeous; I hope someone can help with the bulge - maybe an umbilical or yolk sac absorption issue?

Looks a bit like a white Campbell but it's hard to say; I'd haveexpected some feathering at a month old too
