I have no pictures but I can describe it. It's a cayuga duck egg about 25 days old. It has a crack on it because I was an idiot and i dented s it, but the membrane wasn't broken because it never leaked. I spray it with water and hand sanitizer to keep from bacteria entering and tot was moving. But for awhile it looks like a dark black spot near the crack. No veins, the air sack is half the size of the egg, no movement, no blood spots, no smell, it floats to the top in the float test, but the black goo doesn't moe around in the shell and it seems to be getting bigger really slowly. What should I do? Toss it?
And next time when/if you crack an egg, try to seal it with nail polish or candle wax. The hand santizer may have killed the chick because of the chemicals in it.
