Hi there,
I am still relativly new to chicken keeping, had chooks less than a year, and am learning new things all the time. I have been very lucky with diseases so far but this has stumped me. I have searched the internet and photos to try and work it out but nothing looks quite like what my chooks have.
This is Fae and Nessie, these black markings have appeared very quickly, I swear they wernt there a few days ago, esp Nessie. I only have 9 chooks and 7 have these black markings of different severities. These 2 are the worst.
This is fae
Nessie
My flock leader has just gone broody for the first time, and did have a serious case of PMT which is why im unsure if they are just pecking marks or something more serious. She is in a broody pen during the day now to give the girls a break and then goes in at night to roost with the others.
What do you guys think?
What shall I do with these markings whichever the cause is?
Thanks so much guys, really want to make them healthy again asap. I am too attached to them!
