I've seen black scabs on my chickens before and had thought that it was mosquito bites or some minor pecking at each other. But the other day I noticed one of my chickens with quite a few scabs--the worst I've ever seen it.
I've attached a picture of her.
Another one of my chickens has some scabbing as well but it looks like how I've normally seen it in the past. I wasn't able to get a good picture of him but I'll attach it anyway.
Does it look like fowl pox?
